Bloom is a Google Ventures backed start-up focused on developing a hardware and software platform dedicated to simplifying the technology behind keeping grandparents connected to their children and grandchildren. In addition to a wearable, Bloom approached me to design the centrepiece of their product suite: a tablet-like device aimed at accommodating the ergonomic challenges most elderly people face, while evoking the aesthetic and experience of a curling up with a  leather bound book.
